Book 1 of the DS Knight Series, Death on Cromer Beach follows the investigation of a series of ritualistic killings. The story has great depth, so this felt like a long read with plenty of detail, much more so than the Ann Cleeves books that I have been reading - though the pace felt a little slower as a result.

Definitely going to read this series, which is still being written / published.
